Partner Visa Grants

Yes, Australian Partner Visa grants are still happening. The Department isn’t especially speedy at the moment, that’s a fact. But they are still receiving visa applications, and they are still granting them. Here’s a couple of happy Down Under Visa clients with a story and video testimonial to share with you.

Happy Down Under Visa clients with an Onshore Partner Visa grant

I will let David and Mariel tell you their story, especially how they needed Down Under Visa to help them to finalise an Onshore Partner Visa application quickly so Mariel and the baby could remain in Australia. If not? They would most certainly be back here in Philippines, and a family would be kept apart. We live in harsh times with COVID-19 (coronavirus) complications, and we know all too well how inhumane it is to keep our clients apart when they clearly need each other.

(We also help clients from Thailand, China, and Vietnam). We prefer to keep the preparation process orderly, but in situations like David and Mariel we will never let a client down. If that takes some extra work and pressure? We’re more than up to the task. Wasn’t the first time, and certainly won’t be the last time.

Onshore Partner Visas or Offshore Partner Visas?

Mariel and David were preparing for an offshore partner visa application. We have many clients who have done this. Some, like them, were preparing visa applications. Others have lodged applications, and are waiting on them to be processed. Well, despite the fact we can’t get straight answers as to what is happening and about processing times, it’s obvious that offshore applications are taking a long time. 

This creates a conundrum for many clients. They find themselves with the visa applicant inside Australia on tourist visas right now, and fortunately the Department has so far been fairly flexible and cooperative about further Onshore Tourist Visa applications. Touch wood, but so far we’ve had none refused and forced to return to Philippines. Will this continue? Anybody’s guess! 

No Partner Visa application lodged

IF you have no Partner Visa applications lodged, please ask yourselves if you would be happy being apart. If you can’t stand the idea? Then please discuss the option with us. If you have an ONSHORE Partner Visa application in the system, then the visa applicant can safely remain inside Australia. No need to leave the country and return to Philippines during this time, and as long as the application is granted she will also not need to leave.

OFFSHORE Partner Visa application lodged?

We’ve had applicants make some hard decisions lately. I think four or five so far. They’ve weighed up the cost of return flights at the moment, plus of course the emotional cost of being apart, and have decided to get us to prepare and lodge ONSHORE Partner Visa applications and to let go the offshore applications they made. Tough times? Tough decisions! If I were in that position myself, I would have very little hesitation. I’d walk over hot coals for my wonderful wife, and I think I’d shrivel into a dried out thing on the floor if we were forced apart.
