Is it easy to get an Australian Tourist Visa application?

From the Philippines, China, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia?

Tourist Visa application from the Philippines or South East Asia?

Isn’t an Australian Tourist Visa application an easy process? Just a formality?

Is getting a Tourist Visa (Visitor Visa) for your sweetheart from the Philippines, China, Thailand, Vietnam, or South East Asia easy! It’s just a “simple tourist visa”. Why the fuss? It’s my right to invite anyone I want, because I’m an Australian!

Wrong!

Tourist Visas from the poorer third-world countries (like the Philippines and much of South East Asia) are not easy at all. In fact you will find refusals are around 1:4. That means 20 – 25% are met with visa refusals! Not easy at all.

Why are Tourist Visa applications so hard?

Because Australia is a rich country. Salaries are safe and life is affordable for even ordinary people. No one starves. No one live-in shanties and squatter areas or needs to beg. There are many people who will overstay in Australia for a taste of the better life, and to send money home to parents. So that’s the issue! The Department of Home Affairs looks at the applicant from a poor country, who’s monthly income could pay for 2 days hotel and food in Sydney, and sometimes believes they have more reason to overstay in Australia than reasons to return to their country.

And before you say “I will make sure my girlfriend or partner follows the rules and returns!”, realise that they don’t know you or your girlfriend at all! And they don’t want her added to the already 80,000+ unlawful in Australia if she runs off. It’s nothing personal! Again, they don’t know either of you and they get lied-to by visa applicants every single day!

So only a very solid visa application stands any chance of success, or you may face a tragic visa refusal. And there is little that is so heartbreaking as hearing your sweetheart may not enter Australia to be with you.

Get professional advice from Down Under Visa, the Registered Migration Agents who specialise in Australian Partner Visas and Australian Tourist Visas for couples where the applicant is from South East Asia. They’ve managed literally thousands of applications over the years and know what the Department want to see. Start preparing as soon as you know that this is what you want.

Jeff Harvie is THE Registered Migration Agent in the Philippines, married to a Filipino lady, and does nothing BUT Australian Partner Visas and Australian Tourist Visas for Australian men in relationships with ladies in South East Asia. He also went through the Partner Visa process himself with his Filipina wife many years ago. So he’s just like you! Where else would you go but Down Under Visa?

Australian Partner Visas

Do YOU have a girlfriend or partner or spouse in the Philippines, China, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia? Cannot stand being apart? Are you ready to take that next step because you want to spend the rest of your life with her? Do you want to bring her to Australia to live with you in a permanent and committed relationship? Marriage? Or a committed de facto relationship? Are you ready for an Australian Partner Visa from the Philippines, China, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia? Or if you just want her to visit for now, we will help you to make it happen.

Who are Down Under Visa? Who is Jeff Harvie?

Jeff Harvie and the Down Under Visa team have been doing this for a lot of years! Down Under Visa have brought thousands of couples to Australia from South East Asia over the years. Mostly from the Philippines, but we help increasing numbers of couples where the visa applicant is from China, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia.

And what this means is we see a lot of success….and we also see failures when people go it alone after talking to their mate, or their relative, or that minimal-care-no-responsibility Facebook group run by Steve and Maribeth based on their own visa application! One application, and they feel qualified to advise others! It’s not even LEGAL to do that!
