Australian Visa Fees 2023 – Rise 1 July 2023

New Australian visa charges 1 July 2023
It's that time of year

Every year it happens! Every 1 July Government visa charges (Visa Application Charges) rise. Some just a few percent. Some quite a few percent. We still remember how partner visa fees nearly doubled about 8 years ago.

NOTE: Down Under Visa professional fees are not rising at the same time! This is a Government thing. Not our decision. And nothing we can do anything about. They put up the fees, and we pass those new fees on! Australian Visa Fees 2023 are happening!

Who are Australian visa fees 2023 of most interest to?

Those who:

(a) Have assessments from us with quoted prices and have not started their applications, and

(b) Those who have not lodged their applications yet, ie we're working on your applications but they are not finalized and are yet lodged.

How about this who already lodged Australian visa applications before 1 July 2023? None of this will affect you!

Both of the above? When we lodge applications we need to pay the new charges, which means YOU need to pay the new charges.

New Government Fees 2023 (for visa types which Down Under Visa handle)

Partner Visas – Subclasses 300, 309 and 820

New charge – $8,850.00

Tourist Visas – Subclass 600

New charge (offshore) – $190.00

New charge (onshore) – $475.00

New Zealand Family Relationship Visas – Subclass 461

New Charge – $420.00

Child Visas, Dependent Child Visas – Subclass 101 and 445

New Charge – $3,055.00

The amazing thing about Australian Filipina couples!

I can remember when partner visa fees almost doubled, about 8 years ago. I can remember fellow-RMA's (Registered Migration Agents) saying "This will be the end of partner visas!"

Me? I knew my clients better!

Remember I used to BE one of you lot! Mila is a former Prospective Marriage Visa holder back when she was an OFW in Hong Kong (back when we wrote actual letters to each other)! I know what this all meant to us, and I know what it means to you! You meet the love of your live? You move Heaven and Earth for your future family. You do NOT believe that love like that can be easily replaced! You hold on and you fight tooth and nail until you get together!

Did partner visas die a rapid death when the fees doubled? No! Didn't even see a dip in clients signing up! They found a way!

COVID? Did that kill off partner visas?

No! Yes, it slowed things because many of you were waiting to meet in person and couldn't! It slowed things, however once those borders opened? You lot filled every plane seat you could find and were over in the Philippines meeting up finally, and emailing Jeff to say "Let's get on with this!"

In fact? I think we had around 60 couples marrying online! Provo Utah weddings! All legal. And we had couples doing this who hadn't even met in person, and we successfully applied for Offshore Partner Visas for those couples and got them together in Australia!

Such is the power of love and commitment between Australian Filipina couples who come to Down Under Visa! And we support such passion 100%!

Who are Down Under Visa? Who is Jeff Harvie?

Jeff Harvie and the Down Under Visa team have been doing this for a lot of years! Down Under Visa have brought thousands of couples to Australia from South East Asia over the years. Mostly from the Philippines, but we help increasing numbers of couples where the visa applicant is from China, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia. And what this means is we see a lot of success....and we also see failures when people go it alone after talking to their mate, or their relative, or that minimal-care-no-responsibility Facebook group run by Steve and Maribeth based on their own visa application! One application, and they feel qualified to advise others! It's not even LEGAL to do that!
