Credit card surcharge

I announced the Department 1.08% credit card surcharge on their visa charges when it first came out. Please read HERE
Given the additional charges the wise ones in Canberra kept imposing, I never passed this on to our clients when we paid it, which means we’ve been wearing it since it came out.
We couldn’t really afford to do it, but we did. With the new visa application charges on offshore partner visas coming into effect on 1 July 2015, we can’t keep wearing it and will need to pass it on and include it to client invoices. It’s not much for single clients to pay (ie. 1.08% on the Government charges only…..not to our fees), but too much for us to shoulder all of them. I’m sure you can all understand this.
