Can I get an Australian Partner Visa when I'm pregnant?

I'm pregnant! Can I get an Australian Partner Visa?

What problems and issues for PREGNANT Partner Visa applicants?

Is she pregnant? Pregnant now, or you think she might be? Or are you keen to get her pregnant ASAP and wonder how this will affect a partner visa application to Australia?

We've seen a lot of stress and real concern when we have a pregnant partner visa applicant from the Philippines, or China, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia. Moving to Australia or even just entering Australia requires a visa, and that means successful visa applications for all visa applicants. Children…..even babies…..need visa applications too. Do not assume that you can give birth next week and just bring baby to Australia even if you have a granted partner visa already! it's not that simple. So no visa = no travel!

Babies need:

  1. A visa: And this requires a birth certificate and a passport. This can take months to organise!
  2. Pregnant mothers need:

    1. A visa
    2. The ability to travel, which they can't do if (a) past the cut-off point in their pregnancy where they may not fly or (b) their doctor says they're at risk if they fly! = Lots of care and patience! Do NOT put the mother of your child under unnecessary stress!
    3. Mothers also need a proper partner visa inside Australia (or at least one being processed, ie not a tourist visa with no partner visa planned). If she gives birth in Australia, the child is born as an Australian Citizen. Baby does NOT get born with a birth certificate and a passport! So what happens if mum needs to go back because her tourist visa runs out and baby has no passport? Think that one through!
    4. If you're planning on getting pregnant? PLEASE delay this until she's stable. If she's already pregnant? Talk to Down Under Visa NOW, and be prepared to act NOW to make sure everything goes well for your lady and for your child!

Get professional advice from Registered Migration Agents Down Under Visa, who are THE specialists in Australian Partner Visas for couples where the applicant is from South East Asia. Start preparing the application as soon as you know that this is what you want. Start preparing it BEFORE she arrives in Australia, and lodge the visa application without any last-minute panics or disasters.

Who are Down Under Visa? Who is Jeff Harvie?

Jeff Harvie and the Down Under Visa team have been doing this for a lot of years! Down Under Visa have brought thousands of couples to Australia from South East Asia over the years. Mostly from the Philippines, but we help increasing numbers of couples where the visa applicant is from China, Thailand, Vietnam or Cambodia. And what this means is we see a lot of success....and we also see failures when people go it alone after talking to their mate, or their relative, or that minimal-care-no-responsibility Facebook group run by Steve and Maribeth based on their own visa application! One application, and they feel qualified to advise others! It's not even LEGAL to do that!
